A Crabicurious Conclusion

Today is my last day living in Baltimore so I'm looking back.

A little over two years ago, I actually had a real life cheesy lame dream. I wanted to be a filmmaker (I can practically hear Ben's eyes rolling out of his head, but its true!) I had no gear, talent, vision, nor did I have a compelling story. But I had the internet, a subject to shoot, and a setting to explore. I'd set out to create something that I could look back on and be transported to this time in my life, to these friends, to these moments, and of course to these cocktails.

I started by copying whatever inspired me, learning videography and editing skills along the way while a circle of enablers cheered me on. I'd say "Let's recreate scenes from HBO's The Young Pope. Let's do our version of Chef's Table, Let's actually film a parody episode of The Great British Baking Show." and we would. From iMovie to Final Cut to Premier Pro, from a a6000 to an A7ii to an A6500, and from 10 hour projects to 20 hour projects to 30 hour projects, Leslie and I were have the time of our life! With a drive to "get some shots" we pushed ourselves to try new things and see new places (Iceland, Boston, Hawaii, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and D.C and more)

And one day I realized I was actually doing it, entering photo contests,  splicing a few videos together that had some type of work application, shooting my first wedding, and finally finishing my life's work, a documentary I've been working on for 8 solid months (SEE BELOW). Every single moment was a thrill and I am thankful to have been able to experience it all with Leslie.

Thank you for indulging me. I hope you enjoyed it at least a little.
